wednesday’s who ~ Kenshin Himura

I don’t even remember how many times I watched the Samurai X series be it dubbed in English (Channel 23) or Filipino (Channel 2). What I clearly do remember is the excitement, the thrill of anticipation every time I sat in front of our TV set to have another dose of Kenshin’s antics. It didn’t matter if the episode was a replay, the feeling was the same.

tuesday tunes ~ Comfort In Your Strangeness by Cynthia Alexander

Woke up this morning
I was staring at the ceiling cracks
and road maps and landscapes and highways
I have seen, I have been
To places far and deep in my mind
Only to find
Comfort in Your Strangeness
We are slaves to the crimes we commit
In fits of passion we shame
We are nothing, we are nothing
We are nothing, we are nothing but
The dust on Your feet
Dying to be born again…

– Comfort In Your Strangeness by Cynthia Alexander

This is an amazing song. I love the instrumental at the beginning of the song. The music is just perfect. The lyrics are equally beautiful. This is one of my favorite song. I salute Ms. Cynthia Alexander for her talent and genius…

monday musing ~ Beautiful Madness

Wow, the sequel of Samurai X Live Action film is almost finished and I can’t contain my excitement. I can’t wait to watch the movie and see Kenshin and the whole gang again! I’m certain this will be as amazing as the first one.

Seeing my favorite anime in live action film reminds me of other anime’s I used to watch ages ago. Growing up, anime has been a huge part of my life. They were source of happiness then. They were source of some realizations and enlightenment.

on my shelf ~ By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept…

“Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worst kind of suffering.”

                                        – Paulo Coelho’s “By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept”

This book is a journey. A poetic journey of rediscovering lost faith and love. It is a heartwarming rendezvous with one’s own demons and inner monsters, an encounter we all have faced but rarely acknowledged, therefore rarely won. A battle between you and the other. The other who I knew so much but never even recognized its presence until i read about it in this book. It was the other who make things complicated, difficult and impossible. And I think everybody, at one point in their lives, experienced and fought the said war and courageous are those who tried and won the battle. Reading this book was like a window opened for me to see life in a new perspective, a new understanding that gave life more meaning…

tuesday tunes ~ Your Winter by Sister Hazel

Why do you choose your pain
If you only knew how much I love you, love you
And I won’t be your winter
And I won’t be anyone’s excuse to cry
We can be forgiven
I will be here…

– Your Winter by Sister Hazel

I just discovered this beautiful song and I’m really loving it! The lyrics is great, the music is fantastic and the vocalist’s voice is so awesome. Been listening to Sister Hazel for quite some time and that voice always fascinates me. Their songs are amazing and this particular song is one of my favorites. Just sharing. 😉

thursday thought ~ just be.

Being happy doesn’t mean you have to complicate things. Oftentimes, we sabotage our own happiness by thinking too much, by asking too many and by digging too deeply. Sometimes we just have to sit awhile, take a deep breath and just be.

wednesday’s who ~ Darren Hayes

One of the very first persons who expressed his deepest sympathies to Filipino people after the tragic Yolanda was Darren Hayes. Yes, I am talking about the vocalist of Savage Garden, the one I am truly, madly, deeply in love with. 🙂 And I guess I love him more now if that’s even possible.
