tuesday tunes ~ Question Everything by 8 stop 7

Everything exists ‘tween black and white
You can twist and distort the most blatant of lies
Or just offer up solutions practiced only in your mind
I lost half my life to wisdom
So forgive me if I come off sounding bitter
If my words push you away
If I seem surprised to see you lying here in front of me
Just consider what you’re asking and give me a little time
I’m still having trouble breathing ’cause up to now I’ve never seen you cry

– Question Everything by 8 stop 7

Album:  In Moderation

This song is really important to me. Such a moving song. With touching lyrics and a powerful voice, it’s impossible to ignore this captivating song. I fell in love with it the very first time I heard it on the radio in one of those few local stations, there were actually only three, that played this amazing song. At that time, I didn’t have a copy of the song so I had to wait all day and listen to that station just to hear the song once or twice a day. The Hive became the official radio station that I listened to during those times. There were so many beautiful and interesting songs that I discovered back then that up to now are included on my playlist. I didn’t know what happened, but one day the station just changed format and I just found myself in need of finding a new radio station. The Hive became K-Lite. I found a new music refuge in this station and was so relieved to hear Question Everything again on a regular basis. I even learned that the song was included in Friends soundtrack so I bought a copy. After a long while, K-Lite was no more, well at least the K-Lite I used to love. The DJ’s, the playlists, the programs, they were all gone. But they will not be forgotten for they were once significant parts of my life. The last time I heard this song over the radio was in Jam 88.3 and that was a long time ago. I don’t know if, until now, they still include the song on their playlists. Maybe I should pay the station a visit one of these days. 🙂
