wednesday’s who ~ Darren Hayes

One of the very first persons who expressed his deepest sympathies to Filipino people after the tragic Yolanda was Darren Hayes. Yes, I am talking about the vocalist of Savage Garden, the one I am truly, madly, deeply in love with. 🙂 And I guess I love him more now if that’s even possible.

I remember sending him a letter way back 2000 expressing my love and appreciation for the band. I knew he received it because I got a computerized letter in return with an autographed picture of him and Daniel. I was really elated when I received them thinking that Darren and Daniel read my letter and liked it and kept it along with thousands of fan mails they must have received every day.

I never got over that feeling and the truth is I don’t want to. I love him unconditionally, forever.

Darren is a ray of sunshine sneaking through a gloomy and dark room. He inspires people in ways no one else can. He is good at that. He makes the world a better place just by being himself. He makes a difference in someone else’s life just by doing the things he does best. He’s a kindred spirit I’m so lucky to know about. He is a positive energy in the midst of negativity. He is a beautiful person who lives his life passionately. He is a man of courage who struggled to find his happiness and eventually found it.

Just continue being awesome, Darren and thank you for the inspirations.

Maybe I am such a dreamer because I still dream of seeing and meeting him someday…
